This website uses Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site. In common with most websites, this site uses a statistics package and web analytic service to help analyse how users make use of the site e.g. to help us know which pages are popular, and how responsive the site is. The analytics package on this site is provided by Wix and Google, Inc. and uses analytical cookies. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address (anonymised in GA4)) will be transmitted to and stored on their servers. They use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on activity for us, and providing other services relating to website activity and internet use, plus their own data collection aims. Google cookies related to this website will expire no more than twenty-six months after the last visit. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on their behalf.

The way that cookies are handled by your computer or phone will depend on how you have configured your browser settings. You are not obliged to accept cookies, and you can set your browser not to accept cookies or to clear cookies at defined points (though this may affect the functionality of certain other websites that require cookies). In some cases it may be possible to opt-out from Google Analytics by using their add-on tool]

N.B. You can use the pop-up banner controls to regulate the cookies placed onto your browser device. By continuing to use this website with the cookie choices shown, you consent to the processing of data about you by Wix & Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above. The pop-up banner uses Javascript code and may leave a cookie on your browser to remember how you responded to the cookie control banner.

2. Privacy in supplying your details:

Contact Form: If you proceed to use our ‘Contact Us’ form, the details are transferred via our SSL secured site via our provider (Wix) under their Privacy Policy.

Whether contacting us via the form, by email, post or other means - when engaging with The Kaye Charitable Trust we will obtain necessary personal details such as your name, address, e-mail and telephone number. These details are stored by us for the purposes of contacting you to respond to your enquiry or communicate whilst assessing any application for grant funds, or making grant funds available. We only share your details among the Administrator and Trustees when necessary e.g. to carry out our assessments and validation of grant requests. Recipients of funds will be listed in our annual reports. We may retain your information for some years in order to meet our requirements on limitations on the frequency of grant funding to any specific person/group/charity as outlined in our grant making policy.

We do not use details from your communications or our website contact form to send marketing emails. If you consent by supplying feedback following receipt of a grant, we may use materials that you have provided in our reports and news section on the website. You may ask us to delete your information from our computer files at any time by notifying us (see GDPR note below), though as a Charity we are obliged to retain some details of who grant funds have been made to.

Unless required by law, The Kaye Charitable Trust will never supply private details you have given us to third parties for e.g. marketing purposes, without your consent.

News area: If you supply feedback on how funds have been used we may use these in our annual report and on our website. Your public website link may be shown. We reserve the right to edit comments for spelling/clarity and length. By providing comments and photographs for use, you accept that these are now in the public domain, and you have no rights over where they might be reused or quoted by visitors to the site.

Under EU GDPR, you have certain rights to control of your own data. Should you wish, you have the right at any time to make reasonable requests for us to notify you of any data that we might hold about you. You can make a request to have this data deleted by contacting us. This right does not override any legal obligation we have to hold parts of your data (for example retaining information for anti money-laundering purposes).

3. Other websites:

We have no control over other websites that we may have linked to, or how they might obtain information from you.
